The wood used in these handcrafted pieces is harvested from a rare 150 year old Saguaro Cactus Wood exclusive to the Sonoran Desert, USA. This is a keystone species to the area and is protected when alive, but the skeleton can be ethically harvested after the husk has weathered away. The Saguaro wood that was ethically harvested for these centerpieces was taken from a cactus that was struck by lightening and holds the energies of the heavens within.

Being a keystone species of the Sonoran Desert that supports the entire animal and plant ecosystem, the Saguaro Cactus is a protected species that symbolizes the ability to provide shelter and nourishment for others. It is often associated with "spirit helpers" or guardian spirits that guide and protect individuals or communities. Growing very slowly, over hundreds of years, the Saguaro eventually becomes the tallest species in the Sonoran Desert. This stature is associated with the ability to tap into one's inner wisdom and take on roles of leadership and authority. The Saguaro's ability to survive in harsh conditions symbolizes resilience, adaptability, and inner strength.

There are 5 sizes available, each one with its own unique style. These will make a wonderful addition to any space.
